Great Hill Partners' CFO To Speak At Private Equity Fund Formation
BOSTON (Aug. 7, 2000) - Michael F. Dale, CFO of Great Hill Partners LLC, the Boston venture capital firm, will highlight how investors and entrepreneurs can use the web to improve almost every aspect of financial communications, at the Private Equity Fund Formation Conference in New York today.
The conference session, "Transitioning from Paper to the Web - How Your Website Can Better Assist Your Fundraising Process" focuses on how Great Hill Partners and other leading venture capital firms use the Internet to speed information flow while maintaining personal interaction with potential investors and entrepreneurs.
"Communicating with investors is a top priority of any fund, and the Internet makes it convenient for everyone," said Dale. "Creating secure areas for limited partners offer immense flexibility, by providing more detailed information to specific groups. And from a business perspective, making information available more quickly helps speed deal flow."
As CFO, Dale is directly involved with Great Hill Partners' investors and manages the firm's financial reporting and external communications. He also works closely with the firm's portfolio companies in telecommunications, information technology, business services, media and education.
His areas of expertise include business expansion and analysis, and developing financial and administrative systems. Prior to joining Great Hill Partners in 1999, Dale served as director of operations at TS Design, a web design and consulting firm. Before that, he was a consultant with Facilities Resource Management, and earlier served as a senior analyst with Carvel Corporation.
