Peter L. Garran

Peter Garran is responsible for originating and evaluating investment opportunities in the media, Internet, software, and business and consumer services sectors.

Prior to joining Great Hill, Peter was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan, where he led J.P. Morgan’s East Coast Internet & Digital Media coverage effort and was responsible for originating and executing strategic advisory assignments, public and private equity, equity-linked and debt financings, and capital structure advisory assignments. His clients included mid- and large-cap public Internet companies, diversified media companies and high-growth private companies. Previously, Peter served as J.P. Morgan’s Head of Client Strategy for Americas Investment Banking, where he led multi-year strategic planning and productivity initiatives. He began his career as a technology investment banker with Hambrecht & Quist and J.P. Morgan in San Francisco and London, focusing on a broad range of sectors, including communications, Internet, software, services, and semiconductors.

Peter received his B.A. in History & Literature from Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude.
