Peter J. Quandt has held senior executive positions for more than 25 years. Most recently, Quandt was the founder and CEO of Haights Cross Communications. Haights Cross was a leading publisher of educational, audiobook, and medical publications with sales of over $230 million in 2007. Great Hill was the original private equity firm backing Haights Cross
Quandt has a history of successfully organically growing companies through highly focused and professionally researched product developments efforts. In addition, Quandt has had an impressive track with the more than 25 companies he has acquired during his career.
Before founding Haights Cross Communications in 1996, Quandt was the Group Head at Primedia in charge of Education. Prior to that he was president of a division at Macmillan, Inc. and later a group head at Macmillan.
Quandt holds a B.A from Georgetown University. He is Chairman of the not-for-profit Fund for Social Change.
