Anita Messal, formerly Chief Operating Officer, has been named President and COO. Anita has been with PlanSource since 2013. As President and COO, Anita now leads all aspects of PlanSource Technology as well as Product Management and Development, Service Delivery, Legal and Human Resources. Her new role combines PlanSource’s technology teams with product management, account management and support teams. This will, among other things, allow for faster and more efficient communication of customer feedback and input that will help prioritize and deliver technology that addresses market needs.
Prior to joining PlanSource, Anita was President and CEO of Evercare Hospice within OptumHealth. She also served as the Chief Operating Officer for OptumHealth International and OptumHealth Care Solutions where she expanded the deployment of OptumHealth products and services globally, and managed a $1 billion product suite.
Nancy Sansom, previously Chief Marketing Officer, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer. In her expanded role as CCO, Nancy will lead marketing, commercialization strategy, partner development and other aspects of the PlanSource go-to-market strategy. Nancy now spearheads the PlanSource Advantage Program, a strategic partnership program with leading insurance carriers, which is an important part of the company’s distribution model.
Nancy has been with PlanSource since 2014 and has more than 15 years of executive leadership experience within high-growth SaaS companies. Prior to joining PlanSource, she served on the senior leadership teams at Benefitfocus and PeopleMatter, leading marketing, communications, product management, software design and HR teams.
