October 1, 2019--MineralTree, a market-leading Accounts Payable and Payment Automation solution provider, announced today that banking and B2B payments veteran Vijay Ramnathan will join the company as MineralTree’s president.
Working closely with MineralTree’s CEO Micah Remley, Ramnathan will leverage his nearly 20 years of experience in the banking and payment industries to maintain and expand upon the momentum of MineralTree’s offerings and leadership position in the growing market.
Most recently, Ramnathan served as head of product and strategy at COMDATA Corporate Payments, a leading provider of B2B payment solutions. While at COMDATA, he drove impressive growth in the company’s B2B payments business and built key partnerships within the B2B payments and AP automation ecosystem. Prior to COMDATA, Ramnathan held leadership roles in product management, strategy and innovation at U.S. Bank and Fifth Third Bank. In these roles, he helped the banks develop and execute their treasury and payables strategies as well as evaluate partnerships with fintech companies.
“Vijay’s deep experience in all aspects of B2B payments, particularly with two top 20 banks, will be an enormous addition to the MineralTree team as we transform the B2B payment process and focus on delivering deep value to middle market businesses through our bank partners,” said Micah Remley, MineralTree CEO. “As we continue to grow rapidly, Vijay’s leadership will be key to driving MineralTree’s leading SaaS application and go-to-market strategy.
“I’ve followed MineralTree for many years, and I’m thrilled to join such a talented team that is creating tremendous value for their clients.” said Ramnathan. “AP Automation solves the growing need middle market businesses have to reduce manual processes within their financial operations. MineralTree’s focus on leveraging technology to automate and remove friction in the Invoice to Pay process does just this,” Ramnathan continued. “There is a huge opportunity in helping growing companies transform and streamline their AP departments, and I am honored to join a company at the forefront of this ongoing transformation.”
