LOS ANGELES, November 17, 2015 -- Chrome River, a leading provider of expense management and supplier invoice processing software, today announced the appointment Julie Norquist Roy to the newly created position of chief marketing officer (CMO). Roy brings to Chrome River extensive experience as a data-driven, high tech marketing executive.
On the heels of announcing that Chrome River is bolstering its commitment to client services and customer success with two executive appointments as well as a recent funding round of $100 million, Julie Norquist Roy also joins the executive team to help accelerate growth.
Roy has proven experience in enabling the success of leading SaaS vendors through strategic brand and pipeline building. Prior to joining Chrome River, Roy was CMO at Kyriba, a global leader in cloud-based treasury and risk management software. Before Kyriba, Roy served as VP Marketing and member of the executive team at Cornerstone OnDemand, where she built the marketing department from the ground up and contributed to the fifteen-fold growth that led to the company’s highly successful IPO in March 2011. As VP of Marketing and founding member at start-up InStranet, Roy helped build their call center knowledge base offering, which ultimately led to the company’s acquisition by Salesforce in 2008.
“I am thrilled to join Chrome River during this exciting time of growth,” said Roy. “Finance departments have been one of the last to automate, and I see an immense opportunity for Chrome River to capitalize on productivity tools that enable finance organizations to drive organizational effectiveness. I believe Chrome River to be uniquely positioned to not only dominate the expense and invoice management space, but also to be a leader in the enterprise cloud software eco-system at large.”
“We are extremely happy to have Julie join our team,” said Alan Rich, CEO of Chrome River. “As a marketing thought leader, Julie will be a tremendous addition to our executive team to help drive brand awareness, demand for our offerings and expansion into new markets. Her understanding of what it takes to grow a business and her knowledge of the financial technology cloud software space are essential to our success.”
