I love working with teams who move fast at the hardest problems in healthcare, making care more affordable and accessible in the process.
Q&A
What is your favorite part of your job?
When I think back on companies I’ve been involved with, my fondest memories are always about the people I’ve worked with along the way. Getting to know those people – professionally and personally – is where my enjoyment comes from. I’m passionate about the businesses and the mission, but it’s the people who make those things tangible and successful.
What are your favorite sports teams?
Leeds United and UNC basketball. Two very different sports in two very different places, but each is tied to somewhere I grew up, and I’m hopelessly fond of both. Supporting Leeds in particular builds a certain tolerance for disappointment, which is a more transferable skill than it sounds. My biggest letdown since arriving at Great Hill has been discovering the disproportionate concentration of Duke fans in its halls.
Where is your favorite vacation spot and why?
My family goes to Port Isaac, a small fishing town on the north coast of Cornwall – the peninsula that forms England’s southwestern tip. It offers beautiful cliffside walks, questionable weather, and more pubs than any family could reasonably get through in a week. It’s also home to my favorite golf course – St Enodoc, a James Braid links course laid out through enormous dunes above the Camel estuary. Cornwall is my happy place.
